The Gran Turismo movie is maybe a bad example for this generation. I know that people imitating videogames has been something that the media has been screaming about for years, but racing is decidedly more dangerous in real life that in games. Especially since one of the best tactics for the Gran Turismo series has been making your care ridiculously fast, and maybe not so good at turning. Then you can just use the walls, and perhaps other drivers to “help” you make the turn at full speed. Well in the real world… not so much.
That doesn’t mean that I don’t like to play racing games, it just means that the things that I enjoy about playing the games, isn’t necessarily a good plan. Now that being said, I’m pretty sure that anyone who has driven a car already knows that crash = bad. So maybe this isn’t as big of a deal as the comic makes it to be.
